Stewart Facility Services is a locally owned, non-franchise company based in Trussville, Alabama. Our goal is to establish long lasting relationships with our customers through strong ethics, quality service, and dependability.
My name is Sam Stewart, and I am the founder and President of Stewart Facility Services. I grew up in Calhoun County, Alabama and graduated from Oxford High School in 1997 and Jacksonville State University a few years later. Tiffany and I were married in 2003 and moved to Birmingham at that time. We have been in the Trussville area since 2005 and have three children, Mackenzie, Shelby, and Carter, all attending school in Trussville. We are members of Church Of The Highlands and enjoy college football Saturdays, usually with something delicious on the grill!!!
In 2010, I was working in the convenience store industry and my job was lost when layoffs hit the company I was with. With a wife and (at that time) two children, including a new baby, it was a scary time for our family. After finding employment, with a Fortune 500 company in Birmingham, I was looking for a way to earn extra money and have a backup plan in place in case the recession hit our house again. In September of 2011, I purchased a portable machine and began cleaning carpet in hotels and homes around the Birmingham area. Business grew, and after upgrading equipment we added tile cleaning, and playground cleaning services for restaurants. Shortly thereafter in August 2012, we added pressure washing services, and continued to grow through both new business, and increased business in accounts we were already servicing. In late 2012, we launched the janitorial division of our company. The janitorial addition, combined with an overwhelming response to our tile and pressure washing work, led to tremendous growth. In January 2013, I was blessed enough to fulfill my life long dream of being self-employed and left my corporate job to operate Stewart Facility Services full-time.
Currently, we provide cleaning services for fast-food restaurants, professional office buildings, medical clinics, and financial institutions.
We have grown geographically as well, and now service clients in not only the Birmingham metro area but also Tuscaloosa, Anniston and Gadsden areas. We are a full-service cleaning company, meaning we do not have to contract out certain services like other companies. We have the equipment and personnel to perform any task of cleaning and property maintenance. Take a look around our website, and let us know what you think.
